First Speed Of Soul Review Is In!

CultureShockThe entire process of writing and recording Speed Of Soul has been a series of blessings and rose petals thrown at our feet – an incredible experience all around. Now, we get to see what other people think about the fruits of our labors. Emily Burnham of the Bangor Daily News was good enough to give Speed Of Soul a listen and had some really nice things to say about us and the album…

The first thing that’s really cool about Portland ensemble Mama’s Boomshack’s new album “Speed of Soul” is that you know this band has got to be one hell of a live band; a seven-piece soul and funk outfit comprised of hungry young musicians and seasoned professionals? This requires a dance floor and a cocktail in hand to be properly appreciated.

We won’t spoil it for you, go ahead and give the whole thing a read. Thank you again to Emily for reviewing the album!

If you don’t have your copy of Speed Of Soul yet, then check it out… The album is currently available in CD form at Bull Moose locations (Portland, Scarborough, South Portland, and Lewiston) as well as through their website. Listeners can visit our Bandcamp page to download the album in various lossless formats or purchase downloads through iTunesAmazonGoogle Play, and other online stores.
